Our memorial was created to remember all people who have died as a direct result of the War on Drugs and criminalization of people and communities around the world. Our memorial was specifically created to memorialize the lives of people who use drugs who have died in East Toronto, as well as to remember our allies who fight alongside us in this War. The people named below are greatly missed and loved, and in many cases died suddenly and before we could say goodbye. We remember them as neighbours, colleagues, community leaders, friends, sons, daughters, moms, dads, artists, grandmothers and grandfathers, and as people who created much beauty in our lives.
“You are loved and will never be forgotten.”
